Commidea’s Ocius Sentinel solution wins European Card Acquiring Award 2011 Award for HSBC Merchant Services HSBC Merchant Service wins ‘Merchant Award’ for its use of Commidea’s Ocius Sentinel solution

LONDON, 25 February 2011:  Commidea – the payment solution provider has today announced the second award win in a month for its Ocius Sentinel solution. The latest prize was awarded to HSBC Merchant Services in the prestigious ‘Merchant Award’ category at the European Card Acquiring (ECAF) Awards for their deployment of the solution to their UK customer base.

The ECAF award ceremony was held at the Grand Hyatt hotel in Berlin on the 23rd February. It brought together prominent cards and payments professionals from across Europe to celebrate the top performers in the industry. Earlier this month the two companies claimed the prestigious ‘Best Security or Anti-Fraud Development’ Award at the 2011 Card & Payments Awards in London.

Ocius Sentinel, the award-winning new solution, supports a major advance in security and a step-change in the ease of PCI DSS compliance for merchants who take in-store transactions. It has also become the first end-to-end encryption card payment solution to achieve Payment Application Data Security Standard (PA-DSS) approval.
